I ...I'm still in shock after reading your post. I woke up this morning and for some reason remembered my classmate and good friend Larry Estandarte. We belonged to the same college (UP College of Home Economics) and were classmates in several subjects.

I have fond memories of Larry. He was my first friend in the "big" Diliman campus. I remember ditching class once and watching Ferngully with him at the then newly-opened SM City North Edsa. He was funny and gentle and kind. We drifted apart after I took a LOA and when I went back, he was no longer studying. I saw him again years later at Philcoa; he was rushing to go home to Laguna to cast his vote--it must have been the 2004 elections. I never saw or heard from/of him again--until I read your post. I am appalled at myself for not even hearing about it. I was still in the Philippines in 2005. How could I not have come across what happened from the papers at least? It's such a poor way of repaying his kindness.

For what it's worth, I am glad his killers were apprehended.

P.S. Forgive me for the rambling comment. I'm still in a daze.MUSEHUNTERhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04757332372728316894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6519499005722031020.post-62976469524855173022009-08-17T05:54:12.996-07:002009-08-17T05:54:12.996-07:00No matter where transpeople live on this earth, it...No matter where transpeople live on this earth, it seems we all deal with the same set of common problems.Monica Robertshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09702533200851174728noreply@blogger.com
